We are Rajiv Satyal and Bobby Uhlenbrock.

Rajiv Satyal is an established comedian based in Los Angeles. He has his own website at funnyindian.com. Before going full-time into comedy, Rajiv worked at Procter & Gamble for 6 years, in Brand Management, Media, and Purchasing, where he had a range of responsibilities, including developing marketing programs for some of the world’s leading products, co-leading the entertainment strategy for all brands in North America, managing relationships with Hollywood’s movie studios, record labels, and talent firms, integrating interactive/online marketing into communications planning, and negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts. He was also an engineer in college, so he loves processes & systems.

Bobby Uhlenbrock is a webmaster based in Cincinnati, Ohio. He developed a range of websites, the portfolio for which can be found here. Bobby is one of those rare breeds of people who’s both a geek and a pop culture maven, living at the convergence of technology and creativity. He’s dialed-in to all the latest communication/media vehicles and yet never missed a beat when it comes to TV, comedy, music, etc. He is constantly searching for new ways to help people connect.

So, this is co-run by a comedian? Aren’t you biased?

Well, a little. However, we can’t just book Rajiv for all the events or we’d establish no credibility with other Indian comedians (Desi comedians) – they’ll only come to us if we have work. Furthermore, Rajiv has been in the game long enough to realize that people have different tastes so one size doesn’t fit all. Also, everyone is biased in some way. Even if this site were run by an independent promoter, the promoter would still need to have relationships with comedians and would know and like some comedians better than others. Finally, many bookers are themselves comedians; comedians love working for other comedians, since they speak the same language and “get” the business. We pledge to you our objectivity – we will work to find the best fit for you.
